WSAV: Breweries across the nation raise money for Camp Fire

More than a thousand breweries across the country are teaming up to brew a beer to raise funds for those affected by the Camp Fire in northern California.

While Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in Chico was in its path, they came up with a way to help by creating a relief fund.

“Anything we can do to support them and the victims of the Camp Fire,” Service Brewing Company CEO, Kevin Ryan says.

Now more than 1,000 breweries are on board. Ryan says they just finished brewing 7 barrels– which is more than 200 gallons of “Resilience IPA.”

“All we did was put in our time and effort to support the cause and 100 percent of the funds will go to the Camp Fire relief,” Ryan said.

Service Brewing Company is the only participating brewery in the Coastal Empire.

Service Brewing Company says they expect to start serving the first week in January.
